A massive power outage on May 1, which affected over 34,065 PUC customers, was attributed to a human error at Hydro One’s Third Line Transmission Station. In a phone interview, Hydro One’s spokesperson Tiziana Baccega Rosa explained that the mistake occurred when a crew accidentally pulled the wrong switch, leading to widespread disruption. The company acknowledged the incident and apologized for the inconvenience.
